Bryan Tayefeh has worked in the science industry in various capacities for more than 14 years. Prior to joining Ionis Pharmaceuticals, a global leader in RNA therapeutics, in 2013, Bryan conducted research in the organic synthesis of chemically modifying RNA and natural products at Boulder's University of Colorado. He was also received his undergraduate degree in Molecular & Cellular Development Biology by the University of Colorado.
When he started at Ionis Pharmaceuticals, Bryan was a scientist on the company's pharmacokinetics team. In 2013, he became its Director of Alliance Management and Business Development.
With his motivation focused on helping people using cutting edge science, Bryan started a personal training business in 2018. This successful business combines sound science with traditional programs for bodybuilding.
The impetus for Bryan starting his business came when he discovered the overload of sales jargon, trends and misinformation within the fitness industry as he started a fitness journey of his own. Rather than trying to sort through all the hype, Bryan applied the scientific method to a variety of diets and training techniques in an effort to learn which would hold up to unbiased testing.
Using tools such as his own body fat measurements, strength changes and muscle composition scores, Bryan competed solely against himself to discover which ones work. In order to confirm his findings, he enlisted the help of friends and other people he met in the personal training world. Along the way, Bryan compiled a significant body of information that allowed him to create a foundational fitness platform that had solid evidence that backed up its claims.
Bryan is as passionate about his personal life as he is when helping people. He is married to Alicia, and the couple has twin sons. Bryan also participates in extreme sports, and also enjoys surfing, snorkeling and riding motorcycles.
