Bryant Arroyo
Bryant Arroyo (born 1971 or 1972) is a Puerto Rican activist, known as the Jail House Activist and the Jail House Environmentalist.
While imprisoned for murder in Pennsylvania, Arroyo led a campaign to stop the development of a coal gasification plant next to the prison.

Arroyo was born 1971 or 1972 (age 53–54).
Legal issues
Arroyo was arrested on September 26, 1994 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania accused of murdering Jordan Anthony Shenk the same day. Arroyo was in a relationship with Shenk's mother at the time of the child's death. He was found guilty on May 10, 1995 and sentenced to life imprisonment. As of 2018, he was being held in State Correctional Institution – Frackville.[1]
A 2005 paper written by Mohammed Al-Bayati published by Medical Veritas, a pseudoscientific journal described by QuackWatch as "fundamentally flawed",[2] shared the author's views that Shenk died of a cardiac arrest after a serious illness, accusing the court of a wrongful conviction.
Activism
While in prison in Pennsylvania, Arroyo led a successful letter writing campaign to stop the development of a coal gasification plant next to the prison. The success of his campaign earned him the monikers "jail house activist"[3] and the "jail house environmentalist".[4]
In 2018, he co-led a boycott of the prison's contracted mail delivery system, after authorities obliged prisoners to use the system.[1]
