Brynmawr
From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki
Brynmawr is a town in Blaenau Gwent, South Wales.
It is at the top of the Ebbw Fach valley, just north of Nantyglo.
In rugby there is Brynmawr RFC. The football team used to be Brynmawr AFC and now it is Brynmawr United FC.
The name means "big hill". Before the Industrial Revolution it was Gwaun Helygen (marsh of the willows) and only a small settlement. Then the ironworks opened at Nantyglo and the village grew.
