Bryq
Bryq is a talent assessment software company listed in the SHRM Vendor Directory[1] and based in Athens, Greece.[2] The platform provides pre-employment psychometric assessments and was recognized by the Fosway Group in its 2022 and 2024 9-Grid market analysis for talent acquisition.[3][4]
History
Bryq was founded by Markellos Diorinos, Hassan Chahrour, and Guy Krief and launched in October 2019.[5] The company raised €1.2 million in seed funding from BigPi Ventures in September 2020.[6]
According to Kathimerini, Greece's newspaper of record, Bryq raised $4 million in a pre-Series A round in June 2022 led by Dutch investor No Such Ventures.[7] TechStartups reported that the company had achieved 500% revenue growth in 2021 and reached profitability.[8] At that time, Kathimerini reported the company served over 200 organizations across 15 countries and employed approximately 30 people.[7]
George Kalyvas became CEO in 2025, succeeding co-founder Diorinos.[9]
Product
The platform delivers pre-employment assessments measuring psychological traits and cognitive abilities through an online interface.[10] According to SHRM's vendor directory, Bryq provides scientifically validated assessments.[11] HRTechOutlook reported that the platform uses psychometric methods to evaluate candidates.[12]
Industry recognition
In 2022, Lighthouse Research & Advisory awarded Bryq its HR Tech Award for "Best DEI-Enabling Solution" in talent acquisition.[13] The Fosway Group, a European HR technology analyst, included Bryq in its 2022 9-Grid for Talent Acquisition as a "Potential Challenger" and later upgraded the company to "Core Challenger" status in 2024.[14][15]
In 2024, HRTech Edge reported that Bryq received UKG's DEIB Ally Partner designation.[16]
