Buck Rogers 2425 is a comic book series published by Array Comics, which debuted in January 2025.[1] This series reimagines the classic science fiction hero Buck Rogers, presenting his adventures in the 25th century with a modern narrative.

Precursors

The character of Buck Rogers first appeared in Philip Francis Nowlan's novella Armageddon 2419 A.D., published in 1928.[2] The subsequent comic strip, Buck Rogers, 2429 A.D., began in 1929.[3] In January 2025, these original comic strips entered the public domain[4], allowing new adaptations such as Buck Rogers 2425 to emerge.

Plot overview

The series centers on Deering, a teenage resistance fighter battling extraterrestrial life in a post-apocalyptic Earth. She encounters a young Buck Rogers, aged 16, who claims to have awakened from a 500-year sleep. Together, they navigate the remnants of human civilization, confronting challenges that test their survival skills and ability to trust one another.[5]
