Bucket Flush is an American punk rock band formed in West Philadelphia in 2007. Over the years, the band also relocated to New Orleans and Los Angeles.

The band combines toilet humor and shock rock.

For a decade, Bucket Flush toured the United States and Europe extensively, playing shows with other Hardcore-punk bands such as: Bildoe & the Reacharounds, Assrash, Most Heinous, Rubbish, Thagomizer, Leftover Crack, the Casualties, Fang, Abrasive Wheels, and Hard Skin.

History

Early years

The first lineup included Rob Shit on bass and vocals, Dean Machine on guitar and Doug Graves on drums.

2008–2010

In 2008 Bucket Flush added a new guitarist, Black Jon (the virus, clit 45, Void Control) and drummer John Wood (Global Chaos, Skip mohawk band). In the winter of 2009 the band recorded “the Black Tape”. Around that time they went on an East Coast tour with Assrash.

By 2009 they gained a small fan base and attracted the attention of college film students. Some preliminary interviews led to a 38 minute mini-documentary movie[1] about the reality of the band's travels and life back at home at the squat. The movie got a standing ovation on opening night at Rutgers University and won an award for best film in 2010. [2]

In 2010 the band released a four song 7”.[3] It was recorded in their basement and 300 copies were released on Eagle Bauer records. Later that year they recorded again for a compilation LP (bloodstains across Philadelphia) also released on that local label. The band continued touring all over the United States frequently.[4]

2011–2013

In 2011, Dean Machine left the band and was replaced by Lil’ Robby on bass guitar.

Riding high on the success of the film, Bucket Flush was invited to tour Europe by clownhouse tours in spring 2012. Tim Jones was added on bass. The Down the Drain LP[5] was released in December 2011. At the end of 2012 they recorded a live album, at the last show of a full US winter tour.
