Buffalo Machinery Co., LTD. is a Taiwanese machine tool builder headquartered in Daya, Taichung. [1] It produces metal cutting machine tools including lathe, boring machine, milling machine and machining center.[2]
Buffalo Machinery was founded in 1979 by Dr. Paul Chang as a trading export company. [3] In the 90's, Buffalo Machinery started its own mechatronics R&D department, then the electrical assembly line. By 1997, in cooperation with European engineers, the complete machine was developed and assembled in the new production facilities. In the following years, Buffalo Machinery expanded its product line to milling machines, boring machines and machining center. Most of its production process occurs at factories at Daya. [4][5][6][7]
Buffalo Machinery provides a wide range of products, divided in two brands. MICROCUT, the first brand since 1983, covers most of the product lines.[8] AXILE, the brand has been launched in 2017, produces 5-axis vertical machining center and 3-axis high-speed vertical machining center. [9][10]
