Bui Quoc Huy (also known as Sam) is a Vietnamese artist born on October 10, 2003. He is largely involved in music composition and is represented by Creative Artist Agency.[1][2]
Early life and Career[edit]
Born into a family with no artistic tradition. He grew up in a wealthy family with a well-known local owner of a wood industry as a father. After being given permission by his family to study overseas, he received his degree in Vietnam. He now holds two bachelor's degrees, one in broadcast and electronic communication arts from San Francisco State University and the other in public relations from CELSA Paris Sorbonne.[3]
He began by writing short stories on short story sites, changed his identity to become a content producer on social media, and thankfully surfaced in 2021 when he uploaded his first song on RouteNote..[4]
Sam launched his debut album, H18, in September 2021 after signing with the RouteNote record label. He continued to release Dremear in October 2021, but the song failed to spark any interest. He launched LP 18 in November 2021, and it sold more than 600 copies while causing only a slight commotion. He signed a deal for an internship with CK Talent in December of the same year. He made the decision to leave his record label and management business, CK, in the midst of a dispute and sign up with Creative Artist Agency as an official artist.[5]He launched Album 19 in November 2022, to favorable reviews and more than 6000 sales in Vietnam.[6]
In 2023, he signed a contract with Creative Artist Agency - a well-known talent management firm and was hired as an official artist there. His final EP, Valentine, is anticipated to be released before he takes on a new position in 2023.[7][8][9]
Personal life[edit]
The only time he was spotted dating a female was in the neighborhood café, but otherwise, his life is quite private, and the media rarely covers private topics.
