Bullets is a Finnish crime series created by Minna Virtanen and Antti Pesonen, and written by Antti Pesonen (10 episodes), Kirsi Vikman (two episodes) and Matti Laine (two episodes).

The series is directed by Pete Riski. Antti J. Jokinen directed the scenes taking place in Brussels. The series has been shot by DOP (Director of Photography) Rauno Ronkainen F.S.C, Cinematography Jean-Noël Mustonen F.S.C and Max Smeds.

The series stars Krista Kosonen as Mari Saari, an Intelligence Agency officer, Sibel Kekilli as Madina Taburova, ex- terrorist and Tommi Korpela as Timo Viita, a narco cop.

The series was shot in Helsinki, Brussels and Georgia between December 2017 and May 2018.

The series is broadcasted in Finland on VOD platform Elisa Viihde as an Elisa original series, and on the TV channel MTV/C More. The series is produced by Vertigo, and co-produced by Nadcon from Germany and Lunanime/Lumière from Belgium. The world sales agent is Sky Vision. The series will premiere in autumn 2018.

Bullets is the winner of the Buyers Coup de Coeur Award as the audience's favourite show presented at MipDrama Buyers' Summit on April 8th, 2018.[1][2][3]

Plot[edit]

An ex-terrorist, Madina Taburova, who was presumed dead, turns up in Helsinki seeking political asylum. Using a fake identity, the intelligence agency officer Mari Saari has to befriend this ex-terrorist to find out her motives for coming to Finland. In order to uncover the mystery, Mari Saari has to form an unlikely partnership with an older, streetwise narcotics cop.
