Buried in Barstow is a 2022 American television film directed by Howie Deutch and starring Angie Harmon. The film premiered on the Lifetime network on June 4, 2022. It follows a former hitwoman who attempts to lead a quiet life as a diner owner in the California desert before her past catches up to her.

Plot

Hazel King (Angie Harmon) is a single mother residing in Barstow, California, where she operates a roadside diner. Although she presents as a quiet business owner, she is a former professional assassin who was recruited by a criminal organization in Las Vegas during her youth.

Hazel maintains a protective relationship with her daughter, Joy (Lauren Richards). When she discovers that Joy is being abused by her boyfriend, Hazel intervenes using her specialized combat skills to ensure his removal from their lives. The arrival of a mysterious stranger named Elliot (Kristoffer Polaha), who begins working at the diner, complicates Hazel's attempt to remain anonymous. It is eventually revealed that Elliot is a former surgeon with a clandestine background who has been tasked by Hazel's former employer, Von, to locate her.

The situation escalates into a violent confrontation, resulting in the kidnapping of an associate and a shooting. The film concludes with a cliffhanger regarding Hazel's survival.
