Business Continuity Management System
Business Continuity Management Systems are software products, aimed to support the preparation for, and management of business recovery from adverse events, as defined in ISO 22301 ISO 22301:2019, Security and resilience – Business continuity management systems – Requirements.
Such systems comprise of several modules, helping managers to prepare for adverse events by: - Categorizing adverse events - Assess associated risks - Define vulnerable assets and infrastructures - Define preparedness levels, and set in place procedures to maintain them - Define alternative operational modes - Define recovery procedures
And finally, offer an event-management environment, allowing executives to assess damage, handle corrective actions, and return to normal operations in the shortest time, least damage, possible.
