From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Unit of length which may have been used in the UK.[1]

Definitions[edit]

The Oxford English Dictionary does not show any meaning of Button as a unit of measurement.[2]

The convertunits.com website offers a conversion of 1 button = 0.025 inches (0.64 mm)*; 40 buttons =1 inch (25 mm).[3]

The wide-ranging sizes.com does not, as of February 2015, recognise this unit.[4]
