BuySellRam.com is an American IT asset disposition (ITAD) company based in Orlando, Florida. It buys used and surplus computer hardware from businesses, schools and government agencies, and then resells or recycles it. The main categories it buys are computer memory (RAM), processors, graphics cards, solid-state drives and hard drives, laptops and tablets, networking equipment, and electronic test and lab equipment, along with bulk lots of mixed IT and electronic equipment.[1] The company was founded in 2012.
Alongside the buyback business, the company publishes a blog about the hardware market. It covers prices, supply and new technology for memory, storage, processors and graphics cards, and since late 2025 has followed the global memory shortage closely.[2]
History
BuySellRam.com was founded in 2012 by Kacy Pan and is based in Orlando, Florida. The company is listed in the Florida Institute of Technology's directory of women-owned businesses.[3] In February 2024 the company announced that it had expanded into buying surplus test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, analyzers, signal generators, meters and data loggers.[4]
Services
BuySellRam.com buys equipment from organizations that are upgrading, decommissioning or consolidating hardware, and it also buys individual components. Sellers can request a free quote online.[5]
Memory
Computer memory is the category the company is named for. It buys server memory, including ECC registered DIMMs (RDIMM) and load-reduced DIMMs (LRDIMM),[6] as well as DDR4[7] and DDR5[8] modules for servers, desktops and laptops.
Processors
The company buys server processors, including Intel Xeon and AMD EPYC, as well as desktop and laptop processors such as Intel Core and AMD Ryzen.[9]
Graphics cards
It buys consumer, workstation and data center graphics cards from NVIDIA and AMD. The data center models it lists include the NVIDIA A100 and H100.[10]
Storage
It buys both solid-state drives (SSDs) and hard disk drives (HDDs), from enterprise drives used in servers and data centers to consumer drives from desktops and laptops. This covers SATA, SAS and NVMe drives, as well as drives from network-attached storage (NAS) systems.[11]

Test and lab equipment
It buys electronic test, measurement and lab equipment, including oscilloscopes and probes, analyzers, signal and waveform generators, meters, and data acquisition units and loggers, from brands such as Keysight, Tektronix, Fluke and Rohde & Schwarz.[14]
Bulk and mixed loads
It also buys large mixed lots of IT and electronic equipment from businesses, schools and government agencies, ranging from computer parts and laptops to lab and photography gear.[15]
Reuse and data security
The company describes its business as part of electronics reuse: equipment that still works is resold for further use, and equipment that cannot be reused is sent for recycling, which keeps working hardware out of the waste stream for longer.[16]

The BuySellRam.com blog publishes analysis of the markets for the hardware the company buys and resells. Since late 2025, much of its coverage has followed the memory shortage caused by demand from AI data centers, along with its effects on the prices of server processors, solid-state drives and graphics cards.
Its regular price coverage includes a RAM market update with retail and spot price data for DDR4 and DDR5 memory,[17] and dated NVIDIA GPU price reports that compare new and used prices for consumer graphics cards.[18] In September 2026 the blog published "When Will the Memory Shortage End?", which sets 20 public forecasts made between October 2025 and September 2026 side by side.[19] That comparison was cited in an October 2026 article on DEV Community about RAM prices.[20]
The blog also covers industry news as it happens. Examples include Samsung's reported increase of up to 60% in some memory chip prices in November 2025, which the blog analyzed on the day Reuters reported it.[21][22] A link to that article on the technology forum Hacker News drew more than 460 points and 430 comments.[23] Another example is a reported SK hynix internal analysis warning that DRAM supply would stay short through 2028.[24]

Scholarship
The company first offered the BSR Technology Scholarship in 2021. It is open to full-time undergraduate students at accredited US colleges and universities who have an interest in technology, and it gives up to three awards of $1,500 each. Applicants write an essay about the role technology plays in their daily life and studies.[28] The scholarship is listed on the scholarship site Unigo with a deadline of October 31, 2026.[29]
