Born in Sydney and educated at Balmain Public School, then later Fort Street High School.
Son of very much a media family with father Graham Webb host of countless radio and tv shows nationally and internationally, including as Program Controller of the original Radio Caroline pirate ship in the United Kingdom.
Byron’s mother, Peta was a model, TV and radio host.
Mike Webb is Byron’s uncle. Announcer, Program Director, Station Manager of various radio stations such as WSFM, Triple M Sydney and founder of the first commercial FM radio station in Newcastle NSW www.newfm.com.au
While his career has mostly comprised being on air as an announcer, Byron has worked in all areas of radio, from announcing to programming, production, music directing, and at various stations across Australia.
Past stations include Triple M Sydney, 2UE, WSFM, Triple M Brisbane, MIX 106.5, Wave FM Wollongong, NEW FM and smoothfm since it’s launch in 2012.
For many years, Byron was also a Senior Lecturer at AFTRS The Australian Film, Television and Radio School while continuing to dabble in radio at Triple M Sydney and as anchor of the Better Homes and Gardens radio show on MIX 106.5 and across Australia.
