CADBase is a platform for sharing 3D models, draftings, standards and information about manufacturings.
The platform is free for users, except for the website which also is available via GraphQL API that does not require additional verification – it is used after authentication token acquisition.
Having access to the APIs allows you to freely use the platform for integration with PDM and CAD solutions.

The CADBase website has information about the participation of the platform: Project was founded and started development in 2018 by Ivan Nosovsky (some guy from Russia), after some years the project accepted participation from Yulia Gerasimova (since 2019) and Xia Tianhao (夏添豪, since 2021).
The platform allows you to save resources on the search for components (3D models, drawings), their suppliers, accompanying and regulatory documentation.
The slogan of the platform is “Make For Into Future”. It's about its content; avoiding the "reshaping" of standard components, engineers can devote more time to creating something new.
The compass logo of the CADBase symbolizes an "essential" tool in engineering.
Platform terms and entities
- User is a profile required to use the platform. CADBase functionality is available only to authorized users, while registration is free. To create a new user, you must specify a username, email and password.
- Company is a profile with information about a company, representative offices, directories and company listings. User participation in a company allows access to objects that are related to the company.
- Company member is a user added to the list of company members who gets access to company objects and objects related to company access (standards and components). Availability is issued according to role access within the company.
- Supplier status is a label that provides a company with additional opportunities to participate in the monetization of company resources, such as adding a sketch and participating in the list of basic components.
- Standard is a set of data for the analysis of components, standardization documents and their description, on the basis of which the standard is presented in a list with a list of components.
- Component is a collection of data: information about products, component options, accompanying documentation related to product standards and suppliers.
- Base component is a component manufactured to a manufacturing (publicly available) standard manufactured and supplied by an unverified supplier. The main difference between a standard component and a base component is the exclusion of a group of components.
- Component modification contains the name, short description, state status, characteristics, accompanying files and file sets.
- File set is component modification files required to use a modification component (3D model, drawing) in CAD. A set of files is created for each CAD or other software.

You can create companies and components that will be visible according to the type of access, to all users, or only to you and the people you select.
In the profiles of companies with the status of a supplier, you can create (upload) standards with public and restricted access.

Integrations
Integration of the platform with the automated control system of enterprises (for manufacturers) allows you to automate the updating of supplier catalogs, the delivery of information about balances, informing about a new release, and other customer interaction processes.
Integration of the platform with various CADs allows engineers to access the platform components through the interface of the CAD in use.

During development, Rust is predominantly used.
CADBase does not limit the list of features for users living in countries and regions subject to US (or other) restrictions and sanctions, such as Crimea, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, and Syria. And it hasn't been blocked in China yet.
