Lekan Akinsoji, known professionally as CB, is a British rapper and songwriter. CB released his debut single "Take That Risk" in 2017. Career
CB released his debut single "Take That Risk" in 2017;[3] its beat was produced by MK the Plug and M1 on the Beat.[4]
He released his debut album A Drillers Perspective in 2019 while in prison; James Keith, writing for Complex, wrote that the album will be "likely the last we'll hear from the East London rapper for a while".[5]
Legal issues
Following his arrest by police, CB was charged with 3 counts of attempted murder, possession of a shotgun, two counts of possession of a knife and possession of a firearm following a suspended sentence.[6] He was found guilty and sentenced to 23 years in jail - plus three years on extended license - alongside Nathaniel Lewis (of Forest Gate), Darnell Joseph-Newill and Troy Ifill (both of Stratford) - in 2019 for "possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm with intent", according to the Evening Standard.[7][8]
Personal life
In 2020, his Instagram account, which had roughly 50,000 followers, was given a celebrity blue tick; the decision was met with backlash from knife crime activists.[2]
