CCV Group B.V. is a family-owned company, specialized in electronic payment solutions. Today the company is active in more than 20 countries and has offices in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Switzerland[2]

CCV offers a broad range of solutions for online and offline payments for small and medium-sized businesses, larger chains and as well as in the self-service industry[3][4]. Additionally, CCV provides advisory services in the field of end-to-end payment.

History[edit]

CCV was founded in 1958 in Arnhem, the Netherlands, as an accountant firm by Cor van de Velden[5]. In 1967, the company purchased the European license for an automated accounting system (EKW) which ushered a new era of cashless payment solutions. This innovation was adopted quickly to prevent cash robberies, originally in the petrol market, and later across a wide range of industries. In 1988, CCV obtained the right to distribute VeriFone payment terminals. In 2007, CCV received a license from De Nederlandsche Bank (Dutch central bank)[6] to offer transaction processing as a service.

On the European level, the company has grown due to acquisitions in Germany, Belgium, Switzerland (2000-2005). In 2014, CCV acquired two companies: BiedMeer[7], a provider of webshop software and JForce[8], a payment innovations company.
