CDN77
CDN77 is a Czech content delivery network that is one of the biggest CDNs in the world[1] with over 20 thousand servers around the globe.[1] It delivers daily 175 petabytes of data, which is approximately 5 per cent of the whole Internet[2]. Their primary focus is video content, which makes up around 90 per cent of traffic through CDN77[3].
This company, established in 2011, considers itself still a startup, although its EBITDA was almost US$68 million in 2022.[1] According to Forbes, its only shareholder Zdeněk Cendra (*1986) is the 25th wealthiest Czech.[4] Customers of CDN77 include European Space Agency, the American online learning platform Udemy, the German television channel Sport1 and esports organizer ESL gaming [1]
Technology
As the first CDN implemented HTTP/2 in 2015,[5] and it is also secured by the latest TLS 1.3 with 0-RTT and its own SSL certificates.[6] Against DDoS attacks, it uses a proprietary solution based on open-source DPDK, claiming to be able to stop attacks in under 10 seconds.[7] There is also 24/7 live in-house tech support.[8]
