CD Costa do Sol
CD Costa do Sol, officially known as Clube de Desportos da Costa do Sol, is a football club from Maputo, Mozambique, founded on 15 October 1955, which also has basketball and handball sections.[1]
The club has won 10 Mozambican championship titles and 13 national cup trophies. It also reached four additional Mozambique National Cup finals but lost each of them.[2][3]
Ahead of the 2026 season, the club restructured its first-team squad following the departure of coach Baciro Candé and around 15 players, while Portuguese coach Horácio Gonçalves returned to the club for his third spell in charge. Gonçalves won the Moçambola with Costa do Sol in 2019, and the club set the goal of winning both the Moçambola and the Mozambique Cup in the 2026 season.[4][5]
