History
On October 29, 2019, Vista applied to operate a new FM radio station in North Bay. The new station would operate at 90.5 MHz making it a sister station to CFXN-FM. [1] Vista received CRTC approval to operate a new oldies radio station at North Bay on May 25, 2020. [2] The call sign will be CFCH, which are heritage calls for North Bay, once belonging to what is now CKFX-FM.
Notes
CFCH is a heritage callsign in the North Bay area from the 1920s to 1996 (See CKFX-FM) and was also an FM radio station from 1947 to 1956[3] CFCH was previously used at a former radio station in Chase, British Columbia from 2005 to 2014 and is believed that the CFCH calls haven't been used until the future launch of the new 90.5 FM in North Bay.
