CHEQ is a cybersecurity company headquartered in Tel Aviv, with offices in Tokyo and New York City. Founded in September 2014, the company operates in the ad-verification space, providing advertisers with autonomous solutions for brand-safety, ad-viewability and ad-fraud.[1]
Company
CHEQ was founded in September 2014 by Guy Tytunovich, a former Israeli military intelligence officer and entrepreneur, together with co-founders Ehud Levy of IPE Ventures and Asaf Botovsky.
CHEQ operates in the ad-verification space, developing autonomous solutions for brand-safety and viewability enforcement, as well as ad-fraud prevention. CHEQ's brand-safety solution utilizes Natural Language Processing to analyze content in real-time, enabling advertisers to avoid placing ads alongside content which they deem as negative. For fraud prevention, CHEQ utilizes a cybersecurity technology to allow advertisers to prevent their ads from being served to fraudulent bot users. The technology is available for both direct and programmatic buying, across video and display.
In 2017, CHEQ was selected as part of "The Bridge", Coca-Cola's, Mercedes-Benz' and Turner's tech-commercialization program [2] .
In 2018, the company raised a $5 million Series-A from Battery Ventures[3] [4] [5] [6]. In the same year, CHEQ became a member of the IAB Tech Lab [7] [9] , and a registered member of the Trustworthy Accountability Group [8]. In addition, CHEQ is under review by the Media Rating Council for multiple accreditations in brand-safety, anti-fraud (SIVT & GIVT), viewability and measurement of both display and video [9]
The company's advisory board members include David Sable, global CEO of Young & Rubicam, Alan Boehme, global CTO of Procter & Gamble, and Joseph Mandelbaum, former CEO of Perion Network.
