C. S. Reddi Chaithanya (born May 15, 1995) is an Indian entrepreneur, policy advisor, and youth sports promoter. He is the Managing Director of Plutus and the founder of the Kurukshetra Foundation. Known for his contributions to energy policy, agriculture logistics, and youth empowerment, he also actively supports philanthropic and political efforts in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
Early life and education
Chaithanya was born in Chittoor District, Andhra Pradesh, to political leader Pushpa Varada, former General Secretary of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). He began his business journey at age 14 and demonstrated early leadership by being elected Assistant School People Leader (ASPL).
He graduated from JAIN University, Bangalore, with a degree in Marketing and Business, and is fluent in Telugu, English, Hindi, and Kannada.
Career
Chaithanya leads multiple businesses including Arcanet and Bitternet, operating in logistics, agriculture, solar energy, and electronics. His ventures have consistently delivered profit margins between 25–30%.
He works closely with APGENCO and KPCL on licensing and solar energy projects and maintains international operations in Malaysia, Singapore, Germany, and Japan.
Energy and Policy
He played a key role in maintaining palm oil supply chains between Malaysia and India during shortages in 2019–2020 and works on power and coal policy between central and state governments.
Philanthropy
Through the Kurukshetra Foundation, Chaithanya supports anti-drug education, skill development, sanitation, women’s safety, and food and clothing donations. He also assisted tomato farmers by organizing exports and establishing soup processing units.
Sports
A gold medalist in athletics, Chaithanya funds and supports rural athletes and is developing a sports academy under the Amaravati IndiAthlon initiative.
