Cornelius "CJ" Ingram Jr. (born August 12, 2007) is an American college basketball player for the Florida Gators of the Southeastern Conference.
Early life
Ingram's father, Cornelius Ingram Sr., was a multi-sport athlete for the Gators who also played in the NFL. He was a national champion tight end for the 2007 and 2009 football teams. He also played 19 games for the 2004-05 Gators basketball team.
Ingram Jr. attended Montverde Academy, where he played small forward and eventually developed into one of the top prep prospects in the country. He was a four-star football recruit, but chose to focus exclusively on basketball during his Senior year. His ranking and subsequent recruitment increased.[1][2]
Ingram was recruited by many schools such as Arizona State, Pittsburgh, Vanderbilt, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Mississippi State, Kansas, and Michigan. He committed to Florida on August 12, 2024.[3] He signed with the program on April 22, 2025.[4][5]

As a freshman, Ingram's roommate was teammate Alex Lloyd.[2][6] Ingram joined the team off the back of its third national championship, although he was expected to make an immediate impact in his freshman season.[7][8] He made his collegiate debut coming off the bench against Arizona in the season opener, playing 11 minutes and scoring 3 points. Over the season, Ingram would continue to earn opportunities off the bench.[9]
