CRFS is a global technology company with offices in Cambridge, UK and Chantilly, Virginia that designs and builds systems for spectrum monitoring .[1] The company was founded in 2007 by Alistair Massarella and David Cleevely.[2]
CRFS builds radio receivers for monitoring of the radio spectrum, and direction finding and radiolocation of radio spectrum signals. The company provides products to the military, security, intelligence and spectrum regulator markets.
In 2008 CRFS worked with spectrum regulator Ofcom to undertake a survey of spectrum usage and interference across the United Kingdom.[3] CRFS's spectrum monitoring systems have since been deployed at a number of sporting events and other secure sites which are vulnerable to radio interference.[3][4]
