CSM Cetatea 1932 Suceava is a football club based in Suceava City, Suceava County, Romania founded in 2024 after the dissolution of ACS Foresta Suceava.
History
Because of the financial problems of the former team Foresta Suceava, the people of Suceava who have a history of minor successes in football wanted a new team, a new project arrived in 2024[1], a new team whose inspiration name came from the historic Cetatea Suceava[2] though they don't hold the records.
With Dorin Goian, the former Steaua București(FCSB) and Romanian national team glory as a technical director and former FC Botoșani Liga I player Ionut Plamada and Andrei Itco as coaches, Cetatea managed to secure 5 out of 5 possible wins from the start of the Liga IV season, with big margin victories such as 14-0 with Zimbru Siret or 9-1 with ACS Forestierul Frumosu.[3]
Their first ever match was a 11-1 win on a friendly against local team Juniorul Suceava, match which was played in Itcani Stadium.[4]
