Cadabam’s is a mental health care and de-addiction center headquartered in Bangalore. It was founded by Cadabam M. Ramesh.

The center has a chain of multidisciplinary specialty units operating in different areas of mental health care and neurosciences including a specialized alcohol and drug de-addiction[1] center in the name of Anunitha[2][3]. Cadabam’s also started a 24/7 psychiatric emergency helpline services along with ambulance facility for the people in psychiatric crisis which was inaugurated by Governor Vajubhai Rudabhai Vala in Bangalore[4].

Cadabam’s provides holistic therapies for various psychiatric problems such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, chronic pain, OCD, dementia, depression, personality disorders[5] along with covering adolescent and child psychiatry, adult psychiatry and geriatric psychiatry in a more focused and specialized approach.

The history of Cadabam’s dates back to the year 1992 when Mr. Ramesh Cadabam worked on the idea of providing a mental health care facility to the people with mental health needs in the memory of his late sister Amitha S. Cadabam. The company laid an emphasis on the importance of mental health care by launching a free residential psychosocial rehabilitation center under the name of ‘Arpitha’[6].

Cadabam’s has been the first to undertake various initiatives like ‘Anvesha’ to foster the talents of psychiatric ill people[7] for which the Cadabam’s psychosocial rehabilitation center under the name ‘Amitha’ was awarded the Anvesha Rolling Trophy 2008. The company also progressed in facilitating a supported employment facility to its residents through ‘Neeraja’ and Cadabam’s BPO[8].

The other unique initiatives undertaken by Cadabam’s in the rehab are Reel therapy, Cadabam’s film festivals, Alankritha, student certified programs, corporate connect programs[9] in order to bring out the creativeness and talents of people and to help in building the personality and confidence to approach life in a new way.

Cadabam’s started neuro-psychiatric sciences under the name Cadabam’s hospitals at J.P.Nagar in Bangalore[10] to expand the knowledge about mental wellbeing. At Cadabam’s hospitals, provides holistic therapies and treatments such as Biofeedback therapy, rTMS, Neurofeedback therapy, ECT, Direct Cranial Stimulation[11] along with other latest medical devices are executed to diagnose and treat the mental state of the person.

On their 20th anniversary celebrations, Tamil Nadu Governor K. Rosaiah also addressed the need for awareness to fight the mental health stigma[12]. Also, Sri Sri Ravishankar, the founder of Art of Living Foundation complemented Cadabam’s for providing emotional support to people in Mental health crisis.

Presently, Cadabam’s span in different spheres of mental health services like child care, senior care, and corporate wellness.

Millennium achievers Book by All India Achievers Conference, New Delhi in the year 2000. 13th Vishwa Kannada Sammelana award in the year 2017.
