CAFE Studios, Inc. publishes an array of podcasts and newsletters on a weekly basis.[1] [2]
In its current form CAFE focuses on political podcasts and subscription newsletters.[3]
CAFE was started by Vinit Bharara in 2014 as a site to deliver think pieces from a variety of writers with a broad range of topics. Marc Lore, a previous partner with Vinit Bharara at Diapers.com, and Preet Bharara, his older brother, both worked with Vinit on these early stages of CAFE.com.[4] When Preet Bharara was fired from being the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, he went to work for CAFE in mid-2017.[5] In 2017 CAFE Studios, Inc. broke off from Vinit Bharara's other ventures and turned to focus more on politics. Preet Bharara became the host of the award-winning podcast Stay Tuned with Preet, and in 2021 the show won People's Voice from the Webby Awards.[6] The studio currently puts out an assortment of different podcasts and newsletters ranging from interviews on politics and law to historians discussing U.S. history and current affairs. In mid-2021 Vox Media announced it was acquiring CAFE Studios, Inc., and that Preet Bharara would stay on as CAFE became a division of Vox Media Podcast Network.[7]
