Caitlin Teal Price
Caitlin Teal Price is an American visual artist and photographer. She is the co-founder of STABLE, an artist studio and gallery space in Washington, DC.[1]
Early life and education
In 2002, Price received her BFA from the Parsons School of Design and then went on to graduate with an MFA from the Yale School of Art in 2009.[2]
Career
Caitlin’s work is represented in the permanent collections of The Robert V Fullerton Museum and the American University Katzen Art Museum and promised as gifts to both the Phillips Collection and the National Museum of Women in the Arts.[3]
Price’s work is published in online platforms such as The New Yorker, The New York Times, and Time Magazine.[4][1]
Stranger Lives
The project is a taxonomy of sunbathers developed primarily on the sand between Coney Island and Brighton Beach from 2008 to 2015.[5]
Scratch Drawings
During COVID-19, Price started Scratch Drawings by tracing familiar forms from photo history books and capturing light patterns in her home on colored papers.[6]
