Callie Twisselman is an American country singer-songwriter from California..[1]. She was raised on a cattle ranch in San Luis Obispo County[1]. Twisselman began gaining public attention through social media platforms, where she shared performances of cover songs and original material. She has released original country music that draws on themes associated with rural life and Western culture.
Early Life
Callie Twisselman was born on November 25[2] and developed an interest in country music at a young age, citing artists such as Shania Twain, Dolly Parton, and George Strait as influences[2]. Raised on a cattle ranch in California, she participated in ranch work and local rodeos during her childhood. She began performing publicly after singing the national anthem at a local fair where Bonnie Raitt was headlining[2].
By age 15, Twisselman had learned to play guitar and started writing her own songs. She performed at local venues throughout California and later traveled to Nashville, Tennessee, to record her first extended play. In 2017, she relocated to Nashville and started working with manager Danny Nozell who also manages Dolly Parton[3]. Nozell and Twisselman were introduced by producer Kent Wells[3].
Career and Music
Callie Twisselman continued to expand her career in 2024 through a series of collaborations and international performances. She joined Dolly Parton, Maddie & Tae, and Jessie James Decker on the song “Gonna Be You.”[4] During the same period, she opened for Jelly Roll at his debut Canadian performance in St. Catharines, Ontario[5]
On December 5, she released the EP Growing In Grace[6]. Later that month, on December 27, 2025, Twisselman made her debut at the Grand Ole Opry[7]
