Twitter controversy
In 2014 Allport had funding and coaching suspended for 'unprofessional behaviour' after a photograph appeared on the social networking site Twitter. Allport argued that the episode had been "blown out of all proportion"[1][not in citation given][2][not in citation given] and stated that Twitter abuse towards footballer Grant Holt was just 'Friendly Banter'.
