Calumet Editions[1] is an American hybrid publishing company based in Edina, Minnesota, formed in 2009.

History

Calumet Editions was first created in 2009 by Gary R. Lindberg in an attempt to break away from traditional publishing. Instead of focusing solely on publishing physically written works, Gary opted to pursue opportunities with eBooks.

In 2012, Gary met fellow Minnesota writer, Ian Graham Leask (who had been working in Minnesota as a literary consultant, teacher, and a fellow publisher himself), and formed Calumet Editions soon after. As of 2021, Calumet has published over 160 books while releasing at least 20 titles a year.

Books published by Calumet Editions, as well as their authors, have gone on to be featured in some of Minnesota's most reputable news outlets such as the Star Tribune[2] and Kare 11.[3] They have also been nominated for several prestigious book awards such as the Midwest Book Awards[4] and the National Indie Excellence Awards[5]
