From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Calvin Heimburg (born 1995) is an American professional disc golfer from Safety Harbor, Florida.[1] A member of the PDGA since 2010, he came to national attention in 2019 with his win at the Las Vegas Challenge.[2] Heimburg currently has a 1050 PDGA rating, placing him 4th in the world.[3] He has career earnings of $142,094.31 (as of June 2021).[2]

Professional Career

Heimburg accepted his first cash win in March of 2014 at the 21st annual Sizzler Open, a B-Tier event in Coconut Creek, Florida, taking home $500.[4][2] He would break the 1000 rating barrier on August 26, 2014.[5] A few years later, in 2016, Heimburg would win his first A-Tier at the Melbourne Open. This win would net him $900.[2] He would go on to win 5 more A-Tier events before his breakout Las Vegas Challenge win in 2019.[2]

2019 Season

Heimburg would begin his 2019 season with a bang at the Las Vegas Challenge.[6] This two stroke win over Eagle Wynne McMahon would mark Heimburg's first National Tour win. During the 2019 season, he would collect 7 wins and $34,948 in prize money at 30 events. Heimburg would also have 12 top five finishes in the 2019 season, including a 2nd place finish at the DGPT Tour Championship.[7]

2020 Season

Heimburg would follow up his breakout season with his best season yet. During his 2020 campaign, he competed in 14 tournaments which earned him $34,047.[8] Of the 14 tournaments Heimburg competed in, he won 2, placed 2nd in 4, and 3rd once.[8] He would place in top 10 in all but one of his events. His worst finish would be 11th place at the Idlewild Open.

Heimburg won his first Disc Golf Pro Tour event at The Memorial Championship.[9] In this four round event, he would go into the final round one stroke behind the leader, Eagle McMahon. Heimburg went on and shot the best round to beat McMahon by two strokes.[9] This first place finish won Heimburg $4,500.

After coming up just short at many events throughout the season, Heimburg would win his second event of the season at the Play It Again Sports Jonesboro Open.[10] In similar fashion to his win earlier in the season, Heimburg shot a final round best (52 strokes) and erased a three stroke deficit to Paul Mcbeth.[10] This first place finish would net Heimburg $4,100.

At the end of the season, Heimburg finished second place at the United States Disc Golf Championship, a National Tour Major. After a rough start in round 1, he would nearly claw his way back to the top. Heimburg would lose to Chris Dickerson by one stroke.[11] Heimburg would earn a spot in the final round of the Disc Golf Pro Tour Championship, which aired on ESPN2.[12] He would finish 4th at this event and take home $3,000 in prize money.[13]
