Cameron Scott (born 6 May 1995) is an actor from South Africa.[1]. He is known for his role as Romulus in the short film The Ring of Beasts[2] and his recent role in the Netflix teen franchise The Kissing Booth 3 as Ashton[3]. He also appeared on the first instalment of the South African edition of the Warner Bros. Television reality TV franchise The Bachelorette South Africa[4][5].

Early life[edit]

Scott[6] was born in Johannesburg, South Africa on 06 May 1995, to Alison and Peter Scott. He is of Scottish descent. He has one sibling and he finished High school at St. Stithians Boys College.

Acting Career[edit]

Scott's first experience on a Hollywood film set was in the film The Salvation as a body double and later in Chappie as an extra. His first professional acting role was in the American biopic, The Journey is the Destination in 2016, as Rich the mechanic. In 2018, he starred in the dark thriller The Colosseum and followed that, in 2020, with a lead role in the South African film TRIGGERED[7] as the drummer PJ[8]

Scott acts alongside Joey King, Jacob Elordi and Joel Courtney in the Netflix romantic comedy The Kissing Booth 3[9][10]. He stars as Romulus in the short film The Ring of Beasts[11], alongside South African actors, Brümilda van Rensburg, Jonathan Pienaar, Hungani Ndlovu and Charlie Bouguenon.

Producing Career[edit]

In 2015 Scott entered the world of film production as a producer on The Pixie Lowe Story, a documentary about the death of a past pupil at his High school. While studying in Los Angeles in 2018, Scott wrote, directed, produced and acted in the short film, The Dream Dealer. The film was produced and shot in East Los Angeles and the Pacific Palisades.

In 2019, Scott produced, wrote, directed and acted in another short film, The Relay, with support from Panavision. He co-founded the production company Kingdom Kome alongside sportsman Kagiso Rabada in 2020[12]. Kingdom Kome's flagship project, The Ring of Beasts, is Scott's third time writing, producing and acting on a project. The short film debuted at the Los Angeles International Short Film Festival in 2021.
