Camp Camp is an American adult animated comedy webseries created by Rooster Teeth's Jordan Cwierz and Miles Luna. The series premiered on June 10, 2016 as a part of "Rooster Teeth's Summer of Animation".

Synopsis[edit]

Camp Camp tells the story of Max, a jaded 10-year-old, who finds himself stuck at a dysfunctional summer camp run by a shady business mogul who is looking to turn a profit any way he can. The cynical Max will have to survive annoyingly cheerful counselor David, the weird cast of campers, and bizarre surprises at every turn before he can escape for home.

  • Max (voiced by Michael Jones) - A jaded 10-year old kid who gets stuck in Camp Campbell who later befriends Neil and Nikki.
  • David (voiced by Miles Luna) - One of the camp counselors of Camp Campbell along with Gwen.
  • Neil (voiced by Yuri Lowenthal) - A person who gets traveled to Camp Campbell along with Nikki and is an nerd who later befriends Max and Nikki.
  • Nikki (voiced by Elizabeth Maxwell) - A crazy girl who's mother sent her to "Adventure Camp", who later befriends Max and Neil.
  • Gwen (voiced by Lee Eddy) - One of the camp counselors of Camp Campbell who is obsessed with Trash TV.
  • Cameron Campbell (voiced by Travis Willingham) - The founder of Camp Campbell and a father figure fo David.
  • Quartermaster (voiced by Shannon McCormick) - The quartermaster of the camp who drives the bus to pick up and drop off campers.

Recurring[edit]

  • Space Kid (voiced by Lindsay Jones) - A kid who was sent to Space Camp and is the nephew of Neil Armstrong. His name is also Neil too.
  • Eerd (voiced by Jen Brown) - A teenager who was sent to Extreme Sports Camp. Her two parents are two gay agents who spy on people through mircowaves.
  • Daniel (voiced by Evan Gregory) - A cult leader who plans on killing Max, David, and the other campers. He makes his debut in Season 2's Cult Camp.
  • Nurf (voiced by Blaine Gibson) - A teenager and a bully who was sent at the camp because his mother is an convicted criminal who committed a crime.
  • Jasper (voiced by Griffin McElroy) - A deceased camper at Camp Campbell who was the former friend of David. He died in an explosion in the forest in a cave.
  • Nerris (voiced by Barbara Dunkelman) - A kid who was sent to Other Magic Camp and thinks that she can do magic tricks. She has an rivalry with Preston.

Announcement[edit]

On April 1, 2016, Rooster Teeth announced Camp Camp with a trailer that aired on their website and YouTube. The series premiered on June 10, 2016, as part of Rooster Teeth's Summer of Animation promotion. It was created by Miles Luna and Jordan Cwierz.

Writing and composing[edit]

Camp Camp's composer is Benjamin Zecker, with Miles Luna writing the outlines for "The Camp Camp Theme Song Song" and "Better Than You." Better Than You is also song by Evan Gregory, who is part of The Gregory Brothers, and also voices a cult leader in the series named Daniel, who makes his debut in the Season 2 episode: "Cult Camp".

Airing and seasons[edit]

It airs on Fridays for Rooster Teeth FIRST members and Saturdays for site members. The first season was extended by two episodes due to positive reception, for a total of 12 episodes in its first season. Camp Camp's composer is Benjamin Zecker, with Miles Luna writing the outlines for "The Camp Camp Theme Song Song" and "Better Than You." The DVD/Blu-ray combo pack of the first two seasons were released on May 22, 2018, with its third season premiered on May 25. Its fourth season announced on May 20, 2019 and premiered on the Rooster Teeth site on June 1, 2019.
