Founded in 2015, Campspot crafts online reservation software for park owners and the public that delivers a management solution and modern booking experience.[1] In 2020, Campspot expanded and launched its online travel agency (OTA) at Campspot.com to cater to increased demand in the camping industry.[2] Campspot has three office locations: business operations headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and development teams based in Denver, Colorado, and Chicago, Illinois.[3]

Software[edit]

Campspot Software is a cloud-based campground management and reservation system that can be accessed by unlimited users across any internet-connected device. It was designed by campground owners for campground owners, growing out of its founders' experience of owning and operating multiple parks.[1] The platform includes smart features designed to maximize revenue and save time; such as dynamic pricing, housekeeping capabilities[4], contactless check-in with e-signature, point of sale management, recurring guest billing, flexible business rules, reservation grid optimization, automated reporting, site lock option, interactive map functionality, and more.[5] Entities using Campspot Software include RV parks, family campgrounds, glamping resorts, multi-property groups, festivals, county and municipal parks, marinas, Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park™ Camp-Resorts, Sun RV Resorts, and more.[1]

Marketplace[edit]

Campspot.com is an online marketplace for RV resorts, family campgrounds, cabins, glamping options, and more across the United States and Canada. With more travelers looking towards road trips and campsites for their travel plans[6], Campspot is used to browse and book outdoor accommodations [7]— from cabins and glamping to RV and tent sites — while offering safety-conscious post-booking features such as contactless check-in with electronic signature technology.[8]

As of July 2020, Campspot.com showcases over 100,000 campsites where campers can safely and securely book vacations. Campspot provides an intuitive guest booking experience that returns relevant and easy-to-modify searches. Visitors can filter by their favorite park features, amenities, distance, TripAdvisor ratings, and site types at their fingertips using Mapbox technology.[9]
