Canadian Bearings
Canadian Bearings is a bearing and power transmission distribution company based and operating in Canada. The company was established in 1947 with the opening of its first location in Toronto (its original headquarters, which is now located in Mississauga, Ontario) and has since expanded to numerous other cities in Ontario. The company also has branch offices in Quebec and the Maritime Regions.
It was until March 1, 2010 affiliated with BC Bearing Engineers Ltd., a similar distributor, which is exclusive to western Canada (primarily British Columbia and Alberta).
Some of the major manufacturers represented by CB are:
- SKF, Timken (bearings)
- Goodyear, Gates (belts, hose)
- Baldor, Leeson (electric motors)
- Tsubakimoto Chain Co. (chain and sprockets)
- Loctite (adhesives, sealants)
- Dow Corning (lubricants, sealants]
- Petro-Canada (oil, lubricants)
