The Canadian Labour and Employment Law Journal (CLELJ) is a Canadian peer-reviewed labour and employment law review. The CLELJ is published by Lancaster House, a Toronto-based publisher,[1] in collaboration with the Centre for Law in the Contemporary Workplace at Queen's University Faculty of Law, in Kingston, Ontario.[2] The CLELJ is also a member of the International Association of Labour Law Journals.[3]
The inaugural issue was published in 1993.[4] Submissions to the CLELJ are made from academics and labour and employment law practitioners across Canada and internationally. The CLELJ has published between one and three issues annually since its inception.[4] The CLELJ publishes articles, case comments, and book reviews. Articles from the CLELJ have been cited in Canadian appellate court decisions, including the Supreme Court of Canada.[5]
The editorial process is assisted by student volunteers from Queen's Faculty of Law.[6] The editorial board is made up of labour and employment law academics and lawyers.[3]
