Candace Monae Smith is an American actress and model, best known for her role in the reality TV series America's Next Top Model.[2][3][4][5][6]
Modeling career[edit]
She has been signed by several modeling agencies including State Management New York[1] and New York MMG.[7][8] This helped her obtain numerous modeling and acting jobs including photo shoots for Essence Magazine,[8][1][7] Seventeen Magazine,[8][1][7] Cosmopolitan Magazine,[8][1][7] an ad campaign for "My Black Is Beautiful,"[8][1][7] as well as a SlimFast commercial.
Candace has appeared in campaigns for beauty brands including L’Oréal, Lancôme, MAC Cosmetics[9], BUXOM Cosmetics and Milk Makeup.[10][11]
Acting career[edit]
At the age of 22, she was accepted as a contestant on America's Next Top Model Cycle 18[12][13][14][15] which aired on The CW. This cycle featured 7 contestants from the United States and 7 contestants from the United Kingdom.[16]
Smith has acted in the Starz original TV series Power,[8] VH1's The Breaks,[8] the Netflix TV series She's Gotta Have It, the 2018 musical drama Vox Lux, Power Season[17] and the upcoming (2019) film Motherless Brooklyn.[18][19]
Smith plays an assassin in the upcoming (2019) film John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum.[20][21]
