Cannella Spirits
Cannella Spirits was founded in 2014 by Joe Cannella in San Francisco, CA. Inspired by his family name (“cannella” is the Italian word for cinnamon) and a formative trip to Sicily in 2010,[1] Joe began producing a homemade cinnamon liqueur for friends and family, which eventually led to launching his spirit to the public in the fall of 2014 as Cannella Cinnamon Cordial.[2]
In the fall of 2016, the company launched their second product, Amaro Cannella, marking their entrance into the classic Italian category of bittersweet digestives (amari).[3]
Produced in partnership with Seven Stills Brewery and Distillery in San Francisco’s historic Bayview district, Cannella products are currently distributed in California (Copa Fina Wine Imports) and Nevada (Sapphire Family of Wines).[4]
The flagship product was ranked among the best cinnamon flavored alcohols by Playboy.com in 2015.[5]
