From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki
In inline hockey, each team can designate an official captain for each game. The player serving as captain during the game wears a "C" on his or her jersey.
Responsibilities and importance[edit]
According to International Ice Hockey Federation – InLine (IIHF–InLine) rules, the only player allowed to speak with referees about rule interpretations is the captain, or, if the captain is not on the ice, an alternate captain.
