Captain Asfandyar Bukhari

Captain Asfandyar Ahmad Bukhari (14th August 1988 - 18th September 2015) was born in Pakistan, Attock. He belonged to the Bukhari Syed family that can trace their root to Ali and Hussain. He received his early schooling in Army Public Collage Attock and Fazaia Degree Collage Kamra. In 2001 he was accepted into the Cadet Collage Hasanabdal where he studied from 2001 to 2006. He excelled in the Cadet Collage and became a wing commander of Jinnah wing. From 2011 to 2013, Bukhari was posted in Waziristan]] where he took active part in operations against TTP. On 18 September 2015, 14 TTP members entered PAF Camp Badaber and attacked the personal there. The 102 Brigsde Of Pak Army in Peshawar despatched a Quick Response Team which was accompanied by Captain Asfandyar who during the conflict entered a room and was shot. Around 5 - 6 minutes later he was pronounced 'matryed in battle' and killed in action. His funeral was held the next day in his hometown. It was attended by thousands of people.
