Captain Underpants (real name Mr. Krupp) is a fictional superhero and the eponymous tritagonist of Scholastic's children's novel book series of the same name illustrated by American author and illustrator Dav Pilkey. Captain Underpants is the alter ego of the antihero of the series and horrible principal of Jerome Horwitz Elementary School Benjamin Krupp, when he’s hypnotized by a Hypno-Ring to think he’s "Captain Underpants," a Treehouse Comix character created by George Beard and Harold Hutchins.
