History
CargoMetrics was founded in 2010 by Scott Borgerson.[1][2] The company studies shipping data patterns, from which it determines what goods are being sent where and in what quantities, making investment decisions based on that data.[3][4] The company also provides fleet optimization services, freight price reporting, and licenses its patents.[5][6]
As of 2016, the company had raised over $20 million and was valued at over $100 million.[7][8]
In 2020, CEO Scott Borgerson stepped down as CEO after his marriage to Ghislaine Maxwell came to light.[9][10]
