Carl Cashman (born 25 October 1991) is a British Liberal Democrat politician who has been a councillor for Prescot North since 2016.

Education[edit]

Cashman studied Politics and Philosophy at the University of Liverpool. [1]

Political life[edit]

Cashman was a councillor on Prescot Town Council from 2013-2015. [1]

In May 2016 he was elected to represent Prescot North Ward on Knowsley Council, along with Ian Smith and Mike Wynn, making them the only three non-Labour members in the borough.[2] The election of Cashman presented a tide shift from one party politics that had dominated the Borough since 2012.

In May 2017 he was the Liberal Democrat candidate for the Liverpool City Region mayoral election.[3]
