Carl Frank (February 7 1881 - November 2 1945) – a German orientalist.
Life
Carl Frank received a PhD in 1905 at the University of Leipzig in Oriental Philology and History. He received Habilitation qualification at the University of Strasbourg in 1910 in Oriental Studies, specializing in Assyriology. Carl Frank was Professor of the University of Strasbourg from 1916 to 1918. He was an associate professor at the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität zu Berlin and from 1937 was a professor of Assyriology and director of the Oriental and Indo-European seminars at the University of Marburg.
