Carl Ivan Villafuerte Calayag (born September 16, 1999), better known by his screen name and youtube channel name Carl Villafuerte,[1] is a Filipino online and tv personality, YouTuber, film maker, actor, director, writer, performer, ABS-CBN multi-channel network Adober Studios formely known as (Chicken Pork Adobo) artist and partner.[2][3][4][5][6] First known because of making videos on Facebook and YouTube and later his videos become viral and it has a million views and counting.[7]
First TV apppearance on ABS-CBN's program It's Showtime and Mga Kwento Ni Marc Logan featuring his viral videos on Facebook and YouTube. and later, his videos was also featured on ABS-CBN news shows TV Patrol and Rated K.[8][9] Villafuerte was also seen on ABS-CBN TVplus exclusive channel and Sky Cable channel Cine Mo! featured his viral videos.[10][11][12][13]
Early life
The eldest of two children, Villafuerte grew up in the neighborhood along Davao Street in Bungahan, Malolos City, Bulacan.
Career
2016-Present : Carl Villafuerte YouTube career
In May 2016, Villafuerte started making YouTube videos in random content. He became popular when his YouTube videos gone viral and spotted at YouTube Philippines trends. His videos was featured on ABS-CBN shows Mga Kwento Ni Marc Logan, It's Showtime, Rated K and TV Patrol.[14][15] His video was also featured on american magazine and online article Forbes.[16] In October 2016, Villafuerte started making interview videos inspired by YouTuber Senpai Kazu with his collaborators Franz Clemente and Hector Coronel. Villafuerte's interview videos later landed as #1 on YouTube Philippines trends. In December 2016, Villafuerte started to make short films and short skits content.[17]
2017-Present : Carl Villafuerte became a part of ABS-CBN Multi-channel Network Adober Studios
In May 2017, Villafuerte became a partner with the Philippines' first certified YouTube network ABS-CBN Adober Studios as online artist.[18][19] Among the content creators of ABS-CBN Adober Studios are Lloyd Cafe Cadena, Xian Lim, JC de Vera, Cong TV, Pamela Swing, Emman Nimedez, Sam Shoaf, Hashtag Ryle Paolo Tan, Kristel Fulgar, Alexa Ilacad, AC Bonifacio and Andrea Brillantes.[20][21] In June 2017, his YouTube channel was gained of almost 50,000 subscribers.
