Carleton's Raid in October of 1780 was the second offensive led by British Major Christopher Carleton in the upper Hudson Valley and Lake George region of New York. The attack was a part of the Burning of the Valleys campaign undertaken by British, Loyalist, and Haudenosaunee forces to make the settlers to abandon the territory and destroy crops grown to feed the Continental Army.
