Carlo Raspollini
Carlo Raspollini (Italian pronunciation: [ˈrai ˌradjoteleviˈzjoːne itaˈljaːna]; born February 25, 1949) is an Author, Television director, Film Screenwriter, Playwright, Screenwriter and Radio host. Raspollini is registered in the D.O.R. (Script) and Music section of SIAE (Author and Editor Italian Association) and an Aort - Siae Member. He is also a member of Anart, an association of radio, and television authors in Italy.
Early Life
Raspollini was born on February 25th 1949 in Follonica, Italy, he is a son of Lido Raspollini and Sonia Spinelli. He is from an Italian middle-class family of Tuscan origin, he lives with his wife in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. He did his undergraduate studies from the University of Trento with research in Mass Communication and Social Psychology in the year 1974. From his first marriage, he has two daughters, Maruska (born in 1971) and Chiara (born in 1978).
Raspollini worked in RAI (Italian Public Television) and other national networks from 1971 to 2015 with various roles and responsibilities, and then upon retirement, he moved to the Dominican Republic, where he was involved in consultancy for the realization of gastronomic internationals events.
Radio
From 1971, Raspollini began to collaborate with numerous journalistic and cultural programs of the Radio and then landed in the editorial office of "Per Voi Giovani".
In 1974, he oversaw the investigations of the Terza Rete Radio as author and director. With the 1975 reform, the National Program changed its name to Radio Uno.
After a series of programs dedicated to the world of youth and entertainment in a broad sense, from theatre to cinema to television and music (Un Certo Discorso, La Civiltà dello Spettacolo, Retroscena, Walkie Talkie), he dedicated himself to screenplays, such as "Stories of Seduction",[1] blues trilogy about Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, and Jimi Hendrix, and a series of ironic and funny dramas in "Al Rogo Al Rogo" (On Fire! On Fire!). Others in the Sper Circuit made with PushPull of Padua, for advertising purposes.
Some Important names of the Italian dubbing Maria Pia Di Meo,[2] Cesare Barbetti, Antonio Maria Magro worked in these plays. In 1991, he was a director and author in two editions of the program "Inonda", which returns to Radio Uno in 1992 and In 1995, a newspaper created entitled "Bautiful", dedicated to love for animals.
In 1988, he landed on private radios with the Upper Circuit[3] for which he made a program with Andy Luotto with the Pushpull production by Mracello Pozzaof Padua. Also, for Upper Circuit, he wrote the drama “Gabriele and Stella”, a radio sitcom with Maria Pia di Meo and Cesare Barbetti, again for Pushpu.[4]
1974-1985: ARCI
From 1974 till 1985, Raspollini participated in the National ARCI Initiatives by writing articles in the association's magazine and occupying positions of responsibility in the Free Radio and Photography sector, organizing conferences and initiatives throughout Italy. He collaborated with Marco Mattolini and later with Antonio Manca, directors of the Association. Antonio Manca himself later conducted a series of broadcasts of "La Civiltà dello Spettacolo" (The Entertainment Civilization) on Radio Uno.
Events, Music, Documentaries, Advertising
In 1984, he made a documentary as an author and director on Cinecittà's film production and many commercials in Italy and the USA.[5] In 1985, he collaborated as assistant director of Marco Leto in the creation of a pilot for a TV serial (Helena) with the company Sirio, on behalf of Rai Uno and Cinecittà.
Raspollini approached the world of concerts held at the stadiums and sports halls, and became a member of the Cooperative "Stage" and on behalf of David Zard and "A.Gi.Di." of Modena by Paolo. Between 1981 and 1984, he curated many shows for great bands on tour. During that time, Raspollini collaborated with Estate Romana (Roman Summer) for some show events, such as "Mediterranean Festival", "Thieves of Cinema",[6] and "Samba".
Television
1987-1992: La Fiorita Officina Production
The collaboration with television began in 1987 with "Cordialmente" (Cordially), by Enza Sampò, the broadcast was on Rai Due, producing some external services. Along with Roberto Ferrante, Raspollini also participated in the edition of "Marisa La Nuit" on Rai Uno. This collaboration was further strengthened by the birth of "La Fiorita Officina". The company carries out consultancy services, design, and production of texts for radio, TV, cinema and is also a production company. Over time, work on TV became more and more important: Adriano Celentano's "Fantastico" and "Pronto, è la Rai?" on Rai Uno. With Mara Venier, in the beginning, and Claudio Sorrentino, the famous voice actor of John Travolta, the program "Troppo Forti" for Rai Due realized in the Rai Production Center in Naples.
After that, under the direction of Claudio Bondì, La Fiorita Officina produced a quiz, Econogioco, for Rai Uno with journalist Sandro Paternostro, news correspondent from London, UK. The 40th Prix Italia was then founded with a Gran Gala on Rai Uno, from the San Carlo Theater in Naples, in prime time. In 1988, La Fiorita Officina produced two shows from abroad for Rai Uno: "Palcoscenico Italia" in Brisbane (Australia) on the occasion of the Universal Exposition and "Italia 2000" in Moscow (USSR).
On Rai Due, in the period 1989-90, the talk show in 125 episodes, with Sandra Milo: "L'amore è una Cosa meravigliosa" (Love is a wonderful thing[7]), went down in history for the famous scene of the phone call with Sandra crying shouting the name of her son "Ciro, Ciro ..." who believes injured in the hospital, but it was all a hoax, perhaps decided by a spectator. On Rai Due in 1990, "Nero a Metà" was broadcast, a show hosted by Salvatore Marino with Ilaria Moscato and Elisa Jane Satta.
1992-1995: The shows
On Rai Due the Christmas Eve 1992, Raspollini became the author of the program "Evenne una stella" (And a star gas arrived). Late this year, he left the production La Fiorita Officina just to set up his own business. Between 1993 and 1995, the Christmas shows were continued, with some of the networks from various theatres in prime time. On Telemontecarlo he created "Cocktail of Remnants", it was the turning point for him to came when Brando Giordani was appointed as director of Rai Uno, they called him to replace him together with Emilio Ravel, Paola Cattaruzza and Romano Ciriaci.
On Telemontecarlo, the Sanremo Festival[8] is anticipated with a show from the party hall of the Casino di Campione d’Italia entitled "Noi non ci Sanremo" (the meaning would be: We won’t be there). On Cinque Stelle TV, Carlo Raspollini realized for the production of Studio Imagine by Maurizio Carrano:[9] "The Response of the Stars", a weekly broadcast from January to July 1994. On 13th January 1995, a Christmas gift show, conducted by Liana Orfei, Michele Mirabella and Lino Banfi, was broadcast by the Golden Circus Festival,[10] that was created by Carlo Raspollini with Stefano Jurgens,[11] and Marco Luci, and the guests were Clarissa Burt, Brigitte Nielsen, Nino Frassica, Anna Kanakis, Jucas Casella.
1995-2000: The Magazine
On the Occasion of the Christmas holidays, the show "Di che segno siamo?"[12] was staged by the Teatro Vespasiano in Rieti, with the same author group. In 1996 Unomattiina was entrusted to three conductors: Maria Teresa Ruta, Livia Azzariti, and Melba Ruffo di Calabria. That Season began with a friendship and his collaboration with Beppee Bigazzi (Giuseppe Bigazzi, he was a former manager of Italian companies like ENI, Agip, Lanerossi, GEPI, Maserati). who spoke on "Unomattina" with a column called Shopping Bag.
On 29th December 1996, the show "Di che segno siamo?" was aired again, and signed by Raspollini, Paola Cattaruzza, Romano Ciriaci, with the conductors of Unomattina plus Elisabetta Gardini and Branko.
He was the author of other first evenings for Rai Uno, like "Angeli sotto le stelle" (Angels Under the Stars) from the Capitoline Hill in Rome, with Giancarlo Magalli and Sabrina Ciuffini. The show is repeated the following as an add-on of Red Ronnie.
He began his career as an author again, the edition of "Linea Verde" with Fabrizio Binacchi, until May 2000. In the edition of "Unomattina" at the turn of 2000, Paola Saluzzi is confirmed with Luca Giurato, after a happy summer edition in June 2001.
2000- 2007: The Gastronomic Programs
The "Gastronomic" period with the collaboration Beppe Bigazzi, Antonella Clerici reutns from Mediaset, they recalled the director of Rai Uno Agostino Saccà, who has experimented with a new English Format (Ready, Steady, Cook), it was based on a challenge between chefs : "La Prova del Cuoco". Antonella Clericc is entrusted with the management and two editorial offices are formed. one Endemol and a Rai. The cast was joined by Anna Moroni and Beppe Bigazzi, to go beyond the challenge and bring the duration to an hour and a half.
In the wake of the success of "Prova del Cuoco", the Stream's Travel Channel entrusted the responsibility to Beppe Bigazzi (conductor) and Carlo Raspollini(author and director) for a series of 12 episodes entitled "Le Toscane".
Raspollini has left the "Greenline Market" in the same year, and devoted himself inti "Green Line Horizons" and "Green Line" with Paolo Brosio and Paola Suluzzi and the participation of Gianfranco Vissani. In January and March 2003, the edition of 2003/04 two "First Special Evenings' was held with the cast and authors of the newspapers, were given the success of "La Prova del Cuoco".
2016 - Today: The move to the Caribbean
He founded a production company with Franco Schipani, "Sghembelenz", with whom he made a documentary "Cabarete - a land blessed by God" in 2016 and started the preparation of the film "Viva reggaeton" and other film projects.
With Innova Marketing Group,[13] a period of consultation for international gastronomic events began for Raspollini, which then find a place in the Dominican capital, with high-level dinners at the Blue Mall with Massimo Bottura, Joan Roca, Virgilio Martinez and Jorge Vallejo between 2018 and 2019. After that, Covid 19 temporarily interrupted a series of already planned projects and events.
Cinema
In 1990, Raspollini wrote a story with Andy Luotto for the episode and entitled it "Tiramisu" for the Coup de Fourde series for Canal. Raspollini wrote the screenplay for Stories of Seduction in 1994, along with Lucky Tower. A film by Antonio Maria Magro produced by Europe`s Lamp productions, with Florence Guerin, Carlo Baker, Oreste Lionello, Danilo Maestoi, and Marina Suma.
Theater
In 1991, he wrote the comedy show "Una Notte Americana" (An American Night),[14] together with Terry D`Alfonso, freely inspired by Luigi Pirandello`s opera "I Giganti della Montagna". The Italian Swiss Radio Television with Riccardo Cucciola, Gianni Caiafa, and Milena Vukotic, the comedy aired in 1991.
MadeONfuture
In 2020, the "madeONfuture" website/magazine was born and was initiated by Joel Tilanti Tacla. It was supposed to be a blog but from the beginning, it presented itself as a site that gathers the best of the most interesting and curious news about the future. News, proposals, ideas, and projects concerning various sectors: technology, gastronomy, life in the city, entertainment, health, news from the future, boating, sports, stories, culture, art, the school and other voices. The site contains worldwide information, and its articles are readable in 7 languages. Also, it is open to constructive collaboration with all. Initially, it was called The Tomorrow Times[15] but then it was decided to turn to a name that would respond even more to the needs of industry and production.

Along with Eri, Raspollini published seven essays, taken from the programs in which he participated. Of these, three are devoted to the recipes of the Prova del cuoco (over 250,000 copies sold).
