Carlos Ruas (born 3 July 1985, Niterói, Brazil)[1][2] is a Brazilian graphic designer and cartoonist, known for his Portuguese-language webcomic Once Upon a Saturday.

Ruas is a agnostic[3] has a degree in industrial design and has worked professionally in comic strip creation since 2010.[3] In 2012 he was awarded the HQ mix Trophy, the Oscar of Brazilian comics, in the category of webcomics.[4]

In April 2016, he co-founded the popular science YouTube channel Bláblálogia along with Laranjeira, Simões, Estevão, Pirula (pt), Mila Massuda, Tina Silva, Davi Calazans, Chico Camargo, Emilio Garcia, Rafael Procópio e Devanil Junior[5] and in October of the same year he was invited to be the resident artist drawing caricatures of participants in an episode of the Brazilian talk show Roda Viva.[6]
