History

Carpool was launched in August 2019 by Aryan Anees Modey with a view to make daily commute cheaper from point A to Point B by integrating AdTech technology. However, for Adtech to work efficiently, carpool needed sufficient amount of trip data to identify efficient routes for commute, preferred time of travel and other important factors which could not be achieved without having a tech based transportation system.[1]

In order to fill the large vacuum of global vehicle for hire tech based transportation companies, Carpool started operating in Karachi with its initial service “CarpoolPnD”, fixed carpooling for people traveling on the same route, with same destination area and journey timings.

Pick and Drop concept has been in operation for decades around the globe, but there was a need for automation so that drivers should not only share the cost of the trip but potentially earn substantial fixed sum of money and government gets their fair share of tax revenue.

Carpool did not only achieve both but also tested ride-sharing during pandemic when people wanted to go to hospitals, labs for conducting tests, meeting their relatives or attend funerals on WhatsApp in the year 2020. In ten days Carpool completed 5000 trips successfully using WhatsApp for Business.

This success did not only bring massive revenue but also got hundreds of first test users and instilled perceived value among them about Carpool, being both Carpooling and Ridesharing tech based transportation platform.
